Best Learners

Best Learner Awards

The Best Learners are picked in Year 1 and Year 2 in order to recognise their hard work and achievements. Each will be rewarded with a special certificate which will be displayed on the ‘Best Learner’ board. They are then invited to attend a special lunch with the Deputy Headteacher the following week. Everybody looks forward to these special lunches (especially Mrs Bowman!).

Children can be awarded the Best Learner certificate for a variety of reasons, for example , for something they have done, for persevering when faced with a challenge or displaying behaviours that are exemplary such as our School Values.  The classes will be able to bring along some examples or thoughts about their learning that week to assembly, that they have particularly enjoyed or are very proud of and can share these with the other classes. Mrs Bowman finishes the assembly with the presentation and celebration of the Best Learner Awards for those who have been particularly noticed by their teacher.
